This is a one-semester preparatory program preparing you for admission into the Bachelor of Science – Nursing - Second Entry program.

Admission to the Bachelor of Science - Nursing Second Entry program is a two-step process: 

1. Students are admitted to a preparatory semester offered from September to December, consisting of six courses – Human Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Microbiology, Pathophysiology 1, Ethics and Moral Theory, Lifespan Development, and Statistics, as required based upon previous university education. 
2. After completion of each preparatory course with a minimum grade of 75 per cent, students are admitted into the Bachelor of Science Nursing - Second Entry Program. 

College of Nurses of Ontario

Graduates wishing to be registered will be asked by the College of Nurses of Ontario to sign a declaration of their status regarding:

• citizenship/permanent residence/immigration
• any conviction of a criminal offence or an offence under the Narcotic Control Act or the Food and Drug Act
• being a subject of proceedings with respect to professional misconduct, incompetence or incapacity in Ontario in another health profession or in another jurisdiction in nursing or in another health profession
• any mental or physical disorder, which makes it desirable in the public interest that the person not practice nursing.
